How are my 20% commissions determined?

Every time a customer comes to ArtSelect through your Partner Home Page and makes a purchase, you earn a 20% commission. The prices shown on the ArtSelect website include everything: print, frame, mat, glass, and shipping cost. In calculating your commission, we subtract the shipping cost (i.e. the cost for shipping each individual item) and pay you 20% of the rest. Here is an example:

How often do I get paid?

Every month we calculate commissions owed for orders shipped that month. We pay commissions each month if the owed commission is greater than $10 (if not, we hold payment until the following month, or until the amount is greater than $10). Commission checks are mailed on the 15th of the following month, In the event a print is returned, we will deduct the commission for that print from your monthly total. You will receive a detailed recap of each sale. If there is a return during a month you do not have any sales, we will wait until the end of the following month to see if any sales occur. At that time, we will deduct the commission for the return from any new commissions, or if no new sales have occurred, we will bill you for the commission on the returned merchandise.

How do you establish your discount pricing?

ArtSelect prices are based on comparison shopping we conducted in dozens of frame shops around the country. Of course, comparing custom framing prices is not as simple as comparing, say, CDs or books. Still, we were able to establish average nationwide prices, including print, mat, frame, glass, and mounting fees. Then we slashed 40% to 50% off those prices! We are convinced you will not find quality custom framed prints anywhere else at prices close to ours. Period.

  1. To remind buyers that they found their custom framed print through your home page, we print your Partner Home Page address right on their packing slip.
  2. From time to time we will e-mail information to customers who request it. We will include your Partner Home Page address in these e-mail messages.

How involved am I with the order process?

You are not involved at all. Once your customers come to your ArtSelect home page, we do the rest. Your customers place orders with ArtSelect right from the website. We process the credit cards, fulfill the orders and handle all customer service.

How long does it take to process an order?

When an order is placed, we authorize the credit card and then our custom framers begin working, filling each order to the customer's specifications. Usually, orders are filled within ten business days. Compare that to the local frame shop average of three to four weeks!

Can customers return an order?

With ArtSelect your customer's satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.

Traditionally, custom framed prints cannot be returned. (Imagine the reaction at your local frame shop if you came to pick up your framing and told them that you had changed your mind!) However, we understand customers may have some hesitation about ordering an item they have only seen on their monitor. We are confident of the quality of our merchandise. So, we offer your customers our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Do I have to be familiar with computers or the Internet?

No, we handle everything. We create a customized Partner Home Page for your business right on our website. You don't have to have a special computer or learn about the Internet to be part of ArtSelect. If, you already have a website, we'll link your site to your customized Partner Home Page on our site.

Is it safe to order over the Internet?

Let us set this Internet rumor straight for you. According to the FTC, it's actually statistically safer to use a credit card over the Internet than to use one in a restaurant or to read a card number over a cordless phone.

ArtSelect's secure server software encrypts all of personal information – including credit card number, name, and address – so that it cannot be read by anyone else over the Internet. The encryption process converts the characters the customer enters into coded data that is then securely transmitted over the Internet.

How does my partner logo get created?

First you will receive an email confirming your acceptance to our Program Application. You will then need to reply to this email by specifying whether we should download your logo or corporate graphics directly from your web site (allowing us to copy, resize or reformat these files as needed) or whether you prefer to send us a JPEG, GIF, TIFF or similar file of your logo via email or regular mail (in a diskette).

If you do not have a web site, or would like to supply us with a particular logo, we can work with most popular graphic files (i.e.: JPEG, GIF, Photoshop, TIFF, EPS). If it is clearly printed, we can even create a logo from your letterhead or a brochure.

The finished logo is 245 pixels wide x 54 pixels high, with a resolution of 72 PPI. Any images that you supply us should be about the same or larger dimensionally and in resolution than the finished logo. If you are supplying us with a finished logo, please adhere to the dimensions and resolution mentioned, and save the file as a GIF or JPEG format image. We will not accept GIF animation logos. The logo file size should be kept under 5K.
