As you know, we're always on the lookout for inventive ways to display art, so when we come across really great suggestions online, we're happy to share them with you. Perfect case in point: these three terrific displays from Better Homes & Gardens:
In this first case, the designers have created a wonderfully eclectic display by literally "packing in" an assortment of artwork in different sizes and shapes. There are horizontally oriented pieces, vertically oriented ones, images with thick frames, and images with thin ones. What makes this display work, though, is the unifying thread in the colors and content of the artwork. Notice how they've chosen to focus on landscapes and seascapes? Beautifully done!
In this striking arrangement, a series of framed prints hovers around a beautiful mirror, giving the room a dramatic focal point. Pairing artwork with mirrors is always an interesting choice, especially when the artwork is black & white, or black & white photography.
Who says you can't cover an entire wall with art, inch for inch? The designers here have chosen Traditional art to complement a more Traditional decor, but you could easily take the same approach with art that suits more Contemporary, Global or Casual decor styles.
