"Convolvulus peregrinus ... = Villuchio = Liseron"--a hand-colored copper engraving from "Hortus Romanus" (Rome: Bouchard & Gravier, 1772-93), one of the most magnificent and comprehensive botanical works ever published. The 800 plates of "The Roman Garden" were mainly engraved by Maddalena Bouchard after Cesare Ubertini and Liberato & Constantino Sabbati. The name of the plant is given in Latin, Italian, and French.
