A Bird's Eye view of the early battleground of the US Civil War in North and South Carolina and part of Georgia, made by the famous illustrator and artist, John Bachman, who also published Audubon's "Birds of America." Bachmann did six views of the Confederate States like this one - high altitude views showing topography, cities, battle scenes, ships at sea and on rivers, roads and railways. They are very rare.
